Teatru Menz presents "Caligula"

Friday, 05 March, 2004

Teatru Menz will be staging Albert Camus' Caligula at the MITP, St. Christopher Street, Valletta on March 6th, 7th, 13th and 14th.

Caligula traces the doings of this mad emperor in his search for complete power and the use of his freedom to the limit. However, one's freedom is generally at the expense of another's and this freedom that Caligula professes raises the ire of those around him. In his search for freedom and truth, Caligula isolates himself and his only way out is death.

Anthony Ellul will be playing Caligula and Monica Attard his wife Caesonia. Zep Camilleri is directing a strong cast which includes also Joe Cortis, Sean Vigar, Colin Fitz, Aaron Grech, Sharon Bezzina and Adrian Azzopardi. Anthony Degiovanni is designing both set and costumes.

Booking is open from St. James Cavalier (boxoffice@sjcav.com or 21233200) or by e-mail -- teatrumenz@hotmail.com
