Example of Existentialism in Movies 09/17/05 at 20:35:27   Hi! I recently found this site in relation to my latest high school english project-we drew philosophers from a hat.  I'm pretty happy about which I ended up with, but I hit a dilemma.  One of the largest parts of the project is in choosing a 5-10 minute video clip (of any origin) to display Sartre's Existentialism. I am completely at a loss, and hope that SOMEONE will have a suggestion.  Thanks a million!

philosophy student Guest	Re: Example of Existentialism in Movies Reply #1 - 10/22/05 at 04:14:28   there are alot of Sartrenian themes that can be seen in an adaptation of a novel by Franz Kafka called the Trial. This was made into a movie by Orson Welles in the 1960's. If you can't find it anywhere else you can find it on amazon
